Good-Bye Zoey
I got a call about an hour ago letting me know that Zoey passed away early this morning. I now sit here trying to think of how I'm suppose to tell my kids their dog died. Two years ago we lost our dog to a brain tumor. How do I tell them again, as Mitch said "she's like my little sister", that the dog we all loved so much has died? Pets bring so much joy and so much sorrow. The first thing they are going to ask is if we can get a new dog? I don't know if I can do it again. The pain is so intense when you lose something you love. She was part of our family and we expected to have her for a long time. We didn't even really get to say good-bye to her. We thought for sure she would be coming home when we sent her to the Vet's office. He thinks she may have had a tumor in her pancreas since it attacked her liver and kidney's so fast. I know they did all they could for her. How do I tell my children?

Oh I am so sorry Erin. Our family has gone through it before too- it does feel like you lost a family member. You guys will be in my prayers today.
I'm sorry to hear about Zoey. That is very sad. I can tell how much you all loved her just from all the pictures.
Erin, I cannot even express to you how sorry I am. I love you guys so much and my heart is aching for you.
