Zoey got into one of the kids Christmas candy Sunday. We didn't know she had until she started acting sick. She just laid on the couch all day Monday only going outside once or twice to throw up. By Tuesday we were very worried about her so Vaughn called our neighbor who happens to be our Vet. He came over and brought us some medicine and instructions on how to care for her. Later that day she started throwing up candy wrappers, that's when we knew she had eaten some body's chocolate. For the three days we have been giving her Gatorade through a syringe trying to keep her hydrated. Unfortunately it's not working. She is still throwing up. Tomorrow our neighbor is taking her into work with him to see what else he can so to help her. It's been really sad watching her be so sick. She hasn't eaten anything for 4 days and can hardly walk anymore. We are all praying she will come home tomorrow all better or at least on the mend.

OH NO. I'm so sorry. We'll be praying for her and you guys as well. Have you heard anything so far from the vet today?
He called and she is going to have to stay for a few days while they run test. It's gone into her liver and they have to see what needs to be done. He doesn't think it was the chocolate but can't be sure right now. Hopefully we caught it early enough that they can help her. It's just bringing back all the sad memories of Belle.
We hope that Zoey gets better soon!! We are so sad that she is so sick... Let us know what happens.
How very sad! I just hate that so much. She is a member of your family! I hope everything is okay. We went and saw Marley and Me last night. Sad......your dog has many long years left with you guys! Check out my blog and our new addition to our family! We love her so much!!!!

Our dog got into LOTS and LOTS of chocolate this year too. We were SO worried about her because of the amount of chocolate she got into. Shelby (our dog) ended up being okay but it was super frustrating because the Vet was not responding to my pages because of it being Christmas. I am glad your vet lives close. I'm sure Zoey is in good hands:-)

By the way, your house looks SO cute all decorated for Christmas! It looks like you are a really good mom:-) It's crazy because your kids all look the way I remember your family:-) Josh looks just like I remember Jared, and Maddi looks alot like you and Sidney did....Mitch and Andy are equally adorable:-) WOW -- 3 boys!! I have one and he keeps me pretty darn busy!!
