Venting
Sometimes, well most the time, life isn't fair when your a teenager. First Josh doesn't make the High School Soccer team because they can only take 6-7 freshmen and they have to let all the seniors on the team because it's their last year. I totally agree with that, but still feel like they made a huge mistake not taking Josh. He did make the Sophomore/Freshmen team so he has a place to play. He's not happy about it but at least he is still playing. Then Maddi doesn't make her cheer squad again because they can't take all the Seniors or they wouldn't have a squad the following year. What the CRAP!!!!!!! More like she is not friends with the new coaches daughter and all her friends...wait they all made it. So they cut 4 girls that have to continue the rest of this year in the Cheer class. A couple of the to be seniors I understand...one has been sick and very limited this year in what she can do, and one that didn't really care if she made it, she had only cheered one year. But Maddi and her friend have been cheering for 5 years!!!!! Her friend doesn't have that much tumbling but is good at what she does. Maddi on the other hand has both her running and standing back tuck!!!!! There is nothing anyone can say that will convince me that she didn't get cut because she is not friends with the "in" crowd!!!! The one to be senior they took back(from the JV squad) can't even do a back handspring, but she is friends with the coaches daughter. She's a good cheerleader too. But the coaches didn't have anything bad to say about Maddi's cheering. They also took a girl that has to have surgery this summer and may not be able to cheer next year. How about the girl they took that has made Maddi's life hard this year. She threatened to beat Maddi up a couple times, left a plate of cookies on our door step with a horrible note on it, then right after Maddi's cat died she left a sick kitten on the door step with another rude note! And is always saying that she may be pregnant. The coaches knew all this was going on too. I have to believe that there is a good reason, a better plan for Maddi, that she didn't make it. But right now I'm just really MAD!!!!

That just is SO unfair! I'm sure that Maddi is the right one for the job! Especially after 5 years of cheering! Maybe Maddi will like it, not cheering. Monica's daughter was a cheerleader for several years and decided she didn't want to do it anymore. She thought that they spent way too much time practicing, cheering, making posters, etc. The cheer coaches just seem to expect so much from them. She is glad that she made that decision (to not try out), and she doesn't really miss it that much. I hope that Maddi will find something better! Life is so unfair sometimes, and the politics of it all is just wrong.
I'm sure that they will be glad to have Josh on their team!
Update time! :)
