Venting Update....

As I said in my earlier post Maddi was cut from the Lehi Cheer Squad for her senior year. As the days went on and the hurt only got worse she decided that it would be better for her if she transferred to a different school next year. After many discussions, prayers, and fasting we all felt she should leave Lehi and go to Westlake next year. It was a hard decision for me to make because she has been going to Lehi her whole life, Westlake is their biggest rival and it's a 15-20 min drive for her everyday. She has always wanted to go there but we made her stay at Lehi this year. After we registered her we decided to go find the cheer coach and see if there was any way they would let her have a "try out". He first said No they already had almost 40 kids (they have girls and boys on their squad), but after talking with him for about 5 minutes he told Maddi that he really liked her and he would think about it and get back to us. A couple days later he called and said they would like to have her on their squad! She is soo happy!!!! She was also recruited by 2 different all star gyms but she just wants to cheer high school! It will be strange to have one child at Lehi and one child at Westlake next year....
